And to get a real feel for our three metal finishes, you can order samples.

Your order will be shipped within 24 hours. This excludes engraved goods, which have a lead time of 5–7 business days.

What’s your customer service response time?

We aim to respond within 24 hours.

Do you have discount codes available?

We don't currently offer any promotional discounts.

How do I clean my products?

Antique brass: our antique brass restoration kit is designed to gently remove the top surface of the finish, allowing the aging process to start again.

Bronze: use a damp (but not wet) lint-free cloth.

Polished Nickel: use a damp (but not wet) lint-free cloth.

* Please don't use water or cleaning products as these will damage our finishes.

Who's behind Corston?

We started as a small team of product and digital designers from the interiors industry in the UK. We’ve grown massively since and are always on the lookout for new talent.

When did the company launch?

We spent two years researching, designing and developing before we launched in September 2019.
Since then we haven't stopped. We’re always developing the next line of products and entering new markets.

Hardware questions

How do I install my items?

You can view and print instructions from our mobile-friendly support page.

Can Corston handles be used outside?

Yes, our door handles are suitable for interior and exterior doors.

Do Corston door handles come in pairs?

We sell all our door handles and knobs in pairs, except for our recessed door handles which are sold individually.

Which latch should be used with which handle?

Our sprung handles come with a tubular latch. Our unsprung handles don’t come with one, but you can pair them with our passage tubular latch in bronze, antique brass, and polished nickel.

If you opt for our unsprung handles, a strong latch will work best with our lever handles to prevent drooping. You can use a lighter latch with our knobs to ensure they're easy to turn.

Do Corston shelf brackets come in pairs?

Our shelf brackets are all sold individually. They’ll hold up to 85lbs per bracket.

Do your furniture handles come in pairs?

No, all our furniture handle designs are sold individually.

Do your window handles come in pairs?

No, all our window handles and casement stays are sold individually.

Can your window furniture be installed on UPVC windows?

Our window hardware line has been designed for use with wood windows (you could install the products on aluminium frames too – we just don’t provide the parts for this).

Do you offer spare parts?

For all spare part inquiries, please email our customer service team at hi@corston.us.

Switch & outlet questions

How do I install Corston electrical products?

You can view and print instructions from our mobile-friendly support page.

Electrical items must be installed by a qualified electrician.

How do I install your Kew clear switches and outlets?

The clear switches and outlets in our Kew collection come with backing paper that you can either paint or use as a wallpaper template. The transparent front plate is then secured over the backing paper to conceal the electrics.

All our electrical products should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Do I need to use Corston electrical boxes with Corston switches and outlets?

Our Grove collection is designed to be easy to retrofit. The switches and outlets will work with your existing old and new work boxes, but you can also use ours if you’re adding to your setup.

The switches and outlets in our Kew collection only work with new work boxes that are recessed into the wall. You can use our new work boxes for this, but if a different new work box is already recessed into the wall, that’s fine to use too.

Can I create a custom switch arrangement?

Yes, we sell the individual components for our Kew and Grove collections. For help with creating your own combinations, just give us a call at (332) 895-1718 or email hi@corston.us.

How do your retractive switches work?

A retractive switch flicks back into the top "off" position when you let go. A center retractive switch flicks back to the center "off" position when you let go. It can be pressed up or down to make two separate connections. When used with one of our in-line dimmer modules, a short press will turn the light on and off. A press and hold will dim and brighten the light.

* Both versions must be used with one in-line dimmer module per circuit.

When should I use a four-way switch?

Four-way switches need to be used when three or more switches are required to control the same light. Three-way switches are used at the start and end of the circuit, and one or more four-way switches are added to the middle of the circuit.

Can I have more than one three-way dimmer controlling the same circuit?

Multiple three-way dimmer modules can't be used to control the same light. However, a three-way dimmer can be combined with three-way or four-way switches to control the light from multiple locations.

Retractive and center retractive toggles/rockers can be used for a multiple point dimming circuit when used with an in-line dimmer module (one per circuit).

Alternatively, our multiway dimmer module can be used to dim and turn lights on/off from multiple locations on one circuit.

How do I stop my dimmers flickering?

All our dimmers have been engineered with anti-flicker technology. If you're experiencing flickering, please follow our mode setting instructions.

Are your products suitable for use in the USA?

Our USA site is for products designed for use in the USA only. You'll find the links to our UK and EU sites on our countries page.

Lighting questions

How do I install Corston lighting products?

You can view and print instructions from our mobile-friendly support page.

Electrical items must be installed by a qualified electrician.

Can all your lights be used outdoors?

Our spotlights and recessed lights aren’t suitable for outdoor use. The same goes for our Malvern wall lights because of the fabric shades.

Our Richmond and Claremont wall lights are ETL rated safe for wet locations and are safe to use outside.

Are all your lights dimmable?

Yes, all our lighting designs can be dimmed when used with a suitable dimmable bulb.

Do the lights require a driver?

All our lights are line voltage powered, using bulbs with built-in drivers.

Do you offer class 1 or class 2 lights?

All our lights are class 1 rated and require grounding.

What's the difference between the Baylis and Perryn spotlights?

Our Perryn spotlights are made for drywall ceilings and walls, as the electrical fittings need to sit in a hollow space.
Whereas the Baylis spotlights are surface mounted, so they’re suitable for anywhere.
If you're still unsure, our team will be happy to help you out.

What type of glass do you use for your shades?

All our glass shades are hand blown, rather than pressed or machine made. We prefer hand blown glass for its superior quality and artisanal look and feel.

Occasionally, small air bubbles can get trapped in the molten glass during the process, and you may be able to see these in your shade. Similarly, slight variations in the thickness of the glass can occur. These natural (and unavoidable) differences make each one of our shades unique.

Can your wall lights be installed horizontally?

All our lighting is tested for water ingress in the orientation shown online. For safety and compliance, lighting must be installed as pictured on the product page.

Discontinued product questions

Why has a product been discontinued?

We discontinue slower-selling products from time to time to make way for new designs and ranges. You can subscribe to our mailing list to be the first to know about upcoming launches.

Can I still purchase a discontinued product?

In some instances, we gradually deplete our stock levels, so there may still be an opportunity to buy the product. If this isn’t the case, the product will be removed from the site and the option to buy it will be unavailable.

If you’re interested in the availability of a specific product, please get in touch with our customer service team.

Will the company offer a replacement product?

If we no longer have stock of the product, a replacement won’t be issued. Please contact our customer support team if you need help.

Can I still get aftercare support for a discontinued product?

In addition, accessories for your product may still be available to buy.

What do I do if I need parts for a discontinued product?

In some instances, we may still stock parts for discontinued products, although this isn’t guaranteed. For help, please contact our customer support team.

Why are some discontinued products still available in other countries?

We stock our products in warehouses in the UK, EU, and USA. Some products may still be available in certain markets, or the remaining stock could be depleting at a different rate depending on the market.
